I’ve recently gained access to a laser cutter / engraver. One of the uses I plan to put this machine to is creating inlay work in contrasting woods. Here’s a test example of a sunburst inlay around a soprano ukulele soundhole.

The woods here are English walnut and London plane – I have many varied woods to choose from and I’m only just starting to explore the possibilities.
