The body wood for this soprano ukulele is sapele, sourced from offcuts I purchased from a joiners’ workshop in Todmorden. Offered at my most affordable price point, the style is my simplest option, with no decorations and minimalist fret marker dots in off-white plastic. It goes without saying that there is no compromise in the sound, playability or quality.
The fretboard is pao ferro and is an unusually dark coloured example of this species.
I have two examples of this soprano ukulele available – one has a khaya neck, the other meranti. In all other aspects they are the same.
