A soprano ukulele in reclaimed African walnut and Brazilian mahogany.

1 in stock

This soprano ukulele has a body made from an unusual wood, which I reclaimed from an antique cabinet door panel. I believe it to be African walnut (Lovoa trichilioides). It has a rich, dark colour and a beautiful fine grain structure.

The neck is made from reclaimed Brazilian mahogany.

The fretboard is pao ferro, with small mother of pearl dots at frets 5 7 and 10, with a small white side dot at the 7th fret.

The nut and saddle are corian and the strings are fluorocarbon. The ukulele is fitted with high quality Grover 6B friction tuners.

The finish is hand rubbed truoil varnish.

In terms of sound, it is crisp and bright, with good projection.
