This concert ukulele represents most affordable specification, in concert size.
It has a body made from sapele wood. This is a timber which is often used as an alternative to mahogany. In terms of sound, it has a more rounded tone than mahogany or spruce which in the concert size is great for vocal accompaniment.
The neck is made from khaya and is fitted with a fretboard made from Mexican granadilla wood. The position markers on the fretboard are made from cream coloured plastic at the 5th, 7th, 10th and 12th frets.
Corian nut and saddle, fluorocarbon strings and friction tuners complete the specification and the instrument is finished with hand-rubbed truoil varnish.
