My standard model – soprano ukulele in khaya.

Category: Tags: ,

Available now, this soprano ukulele, offered in my standard specification.

This is my entry-level model, made in high quality, plain-figured woods with  minimal decoration and the emphasis on sound and playability.

The body is made from khaya – a wood which is often used as a substitute for mahogany; the neck is reclaimed utile wood salvaged from a church in the North of England. It is fitted with a 14 fret fingerboard in Granadilla, which has plastic marker dots at the 5, 7, 10th fret positions.

The tuning pegs are quality Grover 9NB model geared tuners.

Strung with fluorocarbon strings, this is a true “player’s” ukulele, finished in hand rubbed oil varnish
